Surplus Lines
Insurance producers and adjusters are required to be licensed to operate in New Hampshire. Our licensing team supports the department’s mission to promote and protect the public good by ensuring the existence of a safe and competitive insurance marketplace by maintaining licensing and continuing education requirements.
The steps to submit your monthly policy filings are very simple and require no formal training. Easy to follow instructions will be provided by the NAIC. There is a set up process at the NAIC which could take up to two weeks. You will log in, upload your filing forms and submit your payment online. Your payments will be handled electronically and will be processed through the NAIC.

- To obtain a surplus lines producer license go to www.nipr.com. Resident individuals and entities must hold property & casualty line of authority in order to hold surplus lines authority. Non-resident individuals and entities mus thold either a surplus lines license or surplus authority in their resident state. To add surplus line of authority to an existing producer license, go to www.nipr.com.
